Save on fees for Hugh Masekela & Vusi Mahlasela’s “20 Years of Freedom”

HughMasekela

South African stars Hugh Masekela (trumpet, flugelhorn, composer, vocals) and Vusi Mahlasela (vocals, composer, guitar) blend their deeply personal jazz and folk styles for an evening of reflective and celebratory music. Both artists have spent their lifetimes responding to political upheaval through their music and writing, collaborating with artists with similar missions such as Paul Simon, Dave Matthews, Sting, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Angelique Kidjo, and more. With their performance 20 Years of Freedom, we honor the legacy of Nelson Mandela, who was a friend, and fan, of both artists.

“My biggest obsession is to show Africans and the world who the people of Africa really are.
– Hugh Masekela
