Dig into jazz and learn what it’s all about! This weeklong camp is perfect for middle and high school students interested in expanding their musical horizons by exploring jazz and improvisation in a welcoming, coached environment. Students will learn and apply the basics of jazz improvisation, repertoire, theory and history, while participating in coached ensembles and jam sessions, culminating in a performance for family and friends on the last day. In this weekly workshop, students receive vital performance tips and techniques focusing on the jazz idiom, including elements of theory, vocal technique, repertoire, and improvisation in a master class setting. All ability levels are welcome, regardless of previous experience singing jazz. Learn more.
