The Mack Avenue SuperBand has become synonymous with stellar line-ups of established as well as up-and-coming jazz artists. This year’s group features musical directors 2016 NEA Jazz Master Gary Burton (vibraphone) and Christian McBride (bass), with Tia Fuller (saxophone), Dominick Farinacci (trumpet), and McBride’s trio mates Carl Allen (drums) and Christian Sands (piano). Each of these musicians is a bona fide bandleader, and their collective energy is sure to be powerful.
