7th Annual Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival The Mid Atlantic Jazz Festival (MAJF), produced by the Jazz Academy of Music, will once again take over the Hilton Hotel & Executive Meeting Center in Rockville, MD with classic & contemporary jazz on President’s Day Weekend. “Real Jazz, Directly from the Source” all under one roof.
Great jazz from “Jazz Royalty” includes Terence Blanchard and E-Collective, Kurt Elling, and Poncho Sanchez and the Latin Jazz Band. MAJF is bringing “Real Jazz” to five stages which includes two free stages. In addition, the 2016 MAJF Crooner’s Caucus will include Allan Harris, Jamie Davis and Vuyo Sotashe. Other exemplary voices include Cyrille Aimee, Esther Williams, and Sharon Clark, plus, the musical, “Sista’s Can Sang” featuring Lavenia Nesmith, Janine Gilbert Carter, Bonnie Harris, and Kristine Keys.
